Most design advice stops at the pretty screenshot. The part that decides whether you get paid properly — reading a brief, structuring a page before you open Figma, pricing the work, writing the contract, handing it over so the client stays — is scattered across a hundred articles written to rank on Google. This is that part, in order, in one place.

01

Written in working order

Not a reference you dip into. The sequence a real project actually runs in, from the enquiry that lands on a Tuesday to the follow-up a month after launch.

02

The business half nobody teaches

Rates, proposals, scope, contracts, the awkward email. The mechanics most designers pick up by accident, five years later than they should have.

03

Built on real projects

Eighty-odd of them. Where something took three attempts, you get three attempts, because the recovery is the part worth learning.

04

Templates you can send today

Contract, proposal, invoice, onboarding checklist, hand-off pack. Editable text, not screenshots, ready for the next project.

Each part ends with something you can ship — a brief, a flow, a page, a price, a live site. Drag the row to read them all.

Got questions?

We’ve got
answers.

What format is it?

A PDF you download and keep, readable on a laptop, tablet or phone. No app, no login, no platform that can disappear.

I’m a complete beginner. Will I keep up?

Yes. It starts at the beginning and assumes no prior client work. The later chapters go deep enough that they will still be useful two years in.

I’ve been designing for years. Is there anything new?

The craft chapters will be familiar. The business ones — qualifying, pricing, raising rates, hand-off — are where most experienced designers tell me they lose money.

Do I need Figma or any paid tool?

Figma’s free tier covers everything shown. The no-code chapters name tools but the method is not tied to any of them.

Do I get future updates?

Yes, every future edition, free. You buy the book once.

Can I read a bit first?

Yes — the free sample is linked at the top of this page, no email required.
